Environite Green Products
Environite is an environmentally friendly product, produced from recycled materials, such as materials recycled from post-consumer or post-industrial materials, recycled glass materials, etc. It provides choices for making a sustainable interior design and green furniture design.
The Environite solid surface products contains up to 90% recycled materials, combined with ecologically friendly epoxy binder. The design provides durability and flexibility on a lot of design products, such as :
- countertops and backsplashes
- tub and shower enclosures
- table and desk tops
- toilet and private partitions
- service and reception counters
- fireplace mantels and surrounds
- interior wall claddings, etc
Environite is very suitable to be used as green building products, as it meets the EPA/LEED requirements for recycled building materials, especially for interior uses. It consists of crushed glass (amorphous silica), and other proprietary materials needed to provide a specific green design. All of the materials are claimed to be free from VOC and styrene.
Environite is claimed not to be affected by most acid solutions of common acids including sulfuric and hydrochloric acid. It also can handle temperature until 400 deg F. It is also claimed to be easy to be cleaned.
The manufacturing of the products is also kept to be environment friendly. The recycle and reuse of the products are also possible to be done, to create new Environite products. This product provides green solutions, as people can build their green interior with a lot of colors and patterns available.
