Green Hotel – Hutton Hotel by Amerimar Enterprise
Nashville Hutton Hotel was opened at the early 2009. Hotel Interactive recently referred to the building as “one of the most sustainable focused properties” it had ever seen, although the developer, Amerimar Enterprises, decided to skip LEED certification.
Built from the skeleton of a former office building, Hutton Hotel has 248 rooms. What makes the hotel special is they have a lot of environmental friendly features, such as :
- Beautiful bamboo flooring and furnishings in the lobby, elevator landings and fitness center
- Card readers that disable guest room lighting when a guest leaves the room
- Bamboo furniture in guest rooms and the lobby
- LED or fluorescent lighting throughout the Hotel building; they have virtually no incandescent lighting!!!
- Energy-efficient exterior signage is LED
- Recycling program for glass, paper and plastics
- Laundry water recycling that conserves water, heat and chemicals
- Guests choose whether or not change towels and sheets daily
- Dual flush commodes
- Reclaimed wood furnishings in 1808
- Dispensed soap, shampoo and conditioner in guest rooms to reduce plastic waste

- Bronze exterior glass is the highest rated for thermal insulation

- EcoDisc elevators in the conference/event center reduce energy consumption by 70%
