Blu Homes has designed a sustainable prefab house, called Balance. Balance is factory-built, ships anywhere in the country on two trucks, and unfolds to a spacious 34′ wide and 48′ long with 16′ ceilings. It is the largest Blu’s design.

Some fun features are included in this house, such as small mezzanine lofts for storage, and island for entertaining and/or sharing mealtimes with family and friends. It is also has a spacious and open kitchen, dining and living area, along with two comfortable private bedrooms, a flexible room that can be used as a guest room, office, play room or bedroom, as well as two full bathrooms and a convenient washer/dryer closet.

It uses large sliding glass door to promote outdoor/indoor living. Also, abundant windows maximize natural light making the home both energy efficient and healthier

It is customizable. Consumer can  change the cladding, mixing and matching window configuration as their preferences. They also can configure their preference floor plan.

The Balance is the highest-tech example of Blu’s break-through folding technology, as the Balance ships at the width of a typical truck – and “unfolds” in two sections to create an amazing 34’ wide living space.

Some sustainable features are also available. The design is maximized to provide better air flow and natural light inside the house. They use non-toxic materials for this house. The foam insulation not only helps energy efficiency but minimizes opportunities for mold growth and makes the space quieter and vibration-resistant for more peaceful living. All of the materials are chosen considering their durability and low maintenance.  This house also uses low-flow fixtures and have optional grey water, living roof, and rainwater catchment systems. The house uses Energy Star appliances, high efficiency heating and cooling systems, and designed to maximize passive heating and cooling.
