Cube 5 by H-Haus
Another sustainable design for prefab house has been made by H-Haus. They have designed several models of prefab house that have several sustainable features and standard features, on the range size of 600 to 3,000 sq ft. One of them is called Cube 5, a 2,500 sq ft size of H-Haus’ prefab house.
Some features are included on this prefab house, such as :
- 2 bedrooms with private balconies
- spa bath
- lounge/dining room (with a 10-foot high ceiling) and 600 sq ft terrace;
- double-height entry
- cook’s kitchen with enclosed courtyard
- powder room
- laundry/utility room
- two-car garage
- handicap adaptable
It has gas fireplaces in the lounge and the master suit. A glass bridge connects the spa and bedrooms. It also has operable and fixed glass skylights. There is a wiring for high speed internet access.
Some eco-friendly features, such as :
- Super insulated walls and roof
- thermopane windows and glass doors with low-E coating
- solar-assist heating package
- boiler system with baseboard radiators and concealed thermostats
- Energy-Star rated stainless appliances
- wastewater treatment and rainwater catchment systems
For the finishing, they use wood flooring and painted sheet rock. Ceramic tile is also used in bath and powder rooms. The wool carpet is choosen for bedrooms. It has European style cabinetry. It uses laminated countertops.
Some upgrades can be done by the user, such as Exterior finish options include HardiePlank®, Cultured Stone®,
or metal siding, kitchen cabinet and countertop upgrades, flooring upgrades, tile upgrades, forced-air heating and air conditioning system upgrades.
