HUF HAUS is a German specialist supplier of pre-manufactured contemporary homes. They has designed a post and beam HUF house which is energy efficient, spacious, and high tech. It is a sustainable prefab house manufactured on HUF HAUS Factory by precision engineering. It has very a timeless design classic which is both sustainable and spectacular.
The revolutionary innovation of the post and beam architecture of HUF HAUS is that all structural wood panels are fitted with a highly efficient heat insulation layer. “Thermal bridges” are thus reduced to an absolute minimum. The energy efficiency achieved means that mineral wool is no longer necessary. With this design, all of the wall will be an integrated heat insulation. The use of wood and glass make this design beautiful.
As a sustainable prefab house, this type of house has some green features :
- A highly modern and efficient heat pump. The principle of the air source heat pump is just as simple as it is ingenious. The heat pump uses the natural warmth in the surrounding air. This warmth is extracted from the air, raised to a higher temperature through compression and then fed into the heating system.
- Electronically regulated heating systems ensure an optimal distribution of heat.
- Modern under floor heating pipes are laid very closely together so that with low flow temperatures and even in the toughest winter a cosy room climate is guaranteed.
- Independent domestic hot water pumps ensure a constant supply of hot water, allowing the independent heating system to be switched off during the summer months, saving even more energy
- Controlled home ventilation system HUF Air Fresh. With this system all rooms are systematically ventilated in a controlled way in order to save precious energy. The ventilation equipment is fitted with a highly efficient cross flow heat exchanger warming the incoming fresh air by extracting heat from the outgoing air. The system also contains a highly efficient filter so that particles of dirt or pollen cannot enter the rooms. This provides not only a pleasant and healthy room climate but also more energy savings.
- Photovoltaic System – a worthwhile investment. With this system solar energy is converted into electric power. The generated electricity is fed into the national grid and reimbursed, where applicable, in accordance with the regulations, improving the overall energy balance of your house. The HUF Show House ART 9 in the HUF village proves that a photovoltaic system is not just bolted onto the roof but it can be integrated in architectural harmony.
The two points are upon customer’s requests. The house also use special, quality-guaranteed, heat-insulated glass. This kind of glass will protect from the cold, heat through solar gain, and from outside noise. Customer also may request an automaton system for their house.
Some types has been manufactured by this factory, such as HUF ART 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, etc. Improvements are always been done in every types. The HUF ART 9 is the most modern and the most environmental friendly due to its photovoltaic roof, make it requires zero fossil fuel.
