Some floating homes have been built on Lake Union, and this design is one of them. This design was done by Vandeventer + Carlander Architects, located at the second position from the end of the dock. It affords views to the south of downtown Seattle and diagonally to Lake Union. The final design strives to meet comfortable living and gracious entertaining that transforms what could be a banal “box” into one with architectural integrity.
Two level concrete house design was created by Anderson Anderson Architecture. With the view of Pacific Ocean, this house looks beautiful. It is located on a small hillside site, south of San Fransisco, with stringent community zoning restrictions. It is self-built by the owner’s family.
A modern and creative design of a single family residence in Arizona, made by Sanba Design. This residence was built on a 2.06-acre lot with unobstructed views of Boynton Canyon and Cockscomb, bordering the National forest. Nestled among ancient Junipers and tall Pinions, this residence was carefully sited to maximize the potential of the lot. Shaped as a continuous soothing curve to follow the natural contours of the terrain, this house is reflected in a long infinity-edge swimming pool. The design is modern yet timeless with an expansive floor plan and a balanced use of materials: copper, mahogany, Arizona flagstone, stucco and water.
A modern unique hotel architecture project called Pazhou Hotel and Mix-used Development was designed by Aedas Architecture under Nan Fung China Development ltd commissioning. This project should be completed at 2012. It is centrally located with Guangzhou’s large, existing exhibition center zone. The project sited on 159,142 sq.m, within a spit of land in the Pearl River immediately outside of Guangzhou center, affords views to the water from both directions, although the project fronts directly onto one of the water ways itself. The design should strive to be unique and iconic to give the project a strong and comfortable identity within its surroundings, aiding in its success among competing neighbors.
