In 1933, as a part of Norris Dam construction project, the Tennessee Valley Authority built a community in Norris, Tennessee. By this, a series of houses were built too, with special design as models for modern and efficient living. Now, after 75 years, a Norris House is relaunched by an interdisciplinary team of University of Tennessee students, of course with new design to adjust and update the house with 21th century condition, but without leaving the basic principle of its sustainable design and eco friendly construction. This new Norris House was designed and built by prefab technology, completed with several sustainable features.
